After taking an extended hiatus to pursue various side/life projects Philadelphia-based Blue Light returned to the studio in the fall of 2009 to record what would be their third and most ambitious full-length album to date, "House of Blue Lights".
Wood shedding in the hills of Northern Virginia for 5 days in November the boys reunited to record some phenomenal songs from the last two years of the band's somewhat cliché, quasi-legendary 7 year-run as one of the foremost bands in the underbelly of the Philadelphia jam music scene, and the resultant effort may just be one of the most compelling albums of the year. With songs ranging from their psychedelic-rock roots ("Horizon"; "Crop Circles") to the laid-back country feel of "Santa Fe" and "Hard Times" and the white-man's soul of "Meant to Be?" and "New Girl Blues", House of Blue Lights has something that anyone with a pulse can relate to.
